Saturday, 27 April Author of the recent book on artist Michael Healy, and stained-glass expert, Dr David Caron will lead a tour of IAAH members exploring the windows in Loughrea Cathedral. The daylong event will start before the bus leaves Merrion Square with David guiding attendees through the An Túr Gloine exhibition in the National Gallery of Ireland. Details on events page. Wednesday, 6 March IMMA in association with the IAAH will offer an afternoon guided tour through their current exhibition Self-Determination: A Global Perspective, one of the largest exhibitions in the Museum’s history. The tour will be preceded by a presentation at 1:15 in the IMMA lecture room by Dr Billy Shortall. Details on events page.
Thursday, 22 February Well-known art historian and commentator Jessica Fahy will guide IAAH members on an afternoon visit through the current Sarah Purser: Private Worlds exhibition currently running at the National Gallery of Ireland. Details emailed to members in early February with booking through Eventbrite.
May or September 2024 Currently in planning, the annual IAAH Symposium at which papers on current research taking place in Ireland will be presented.
Wednesday, 31 January 4:30 The Trinity Centre for the Book is hosting a seminar The Cuala Press: Art, Craft, Innovation in the Trinity Long Room Hub and all IAAH members are invited to attend.
Dr Angela Griffith and Dr Billy Shortall (Department of Art History) will discuss the Cuala Press as part of the Trinity Centre for the Book Seminar Series. Artist Stephen Lawlor will also present on a contemporary project, ‘Kwaidan’, that connects fine art with literature and what such connections can offer artists.
Thursday, 7 December at the Molesworth Gallery, 16 Molesworth Street, Dublin 2 | 6.30 – 9pm.
Presentation by artist Gabhann Dunne will start at 7.15 and finish with Q&A by 8pm.
Wine and nibbles will be served on arrival.

IAAH AGM – 24th September 2022.
We are delighted to announce that our AGM will be held on 24th September at the United Arts Club, Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin 2. 10am-12.30pm.
The meeting will be followed by a talk from popular art historian, Dr Angela Griffith who specialises in Irish modern and contemporary print.
Submissions are now invited for Issue Ten of Artefact. The deadline for receipt of full-length submissions of 3,000 – 5,000 words is 28 February 2021.
