IAAH Newsletter

The Irish Association of Art Historians maintains a programme of lectures, events, seminars and tours to significant sites in Ireland and abroad.  The Committee aims to ensure a broad and varied programme.  Many events are exclusive to the members, but a number are open to guests and non-members.

- ‘Tintoretto’s Susanna and the Elders: Just a bit of fun?’ a lecture by Dr Audrey Nicholls

- ‘Precious Things’, a lecture by Rudolf Heltzel, Goldsmith

- Sculpture in the Parklands: where nature and art meet - a tour with Kevin O’Dwyer, Director of Sculpture in the Parklands, of the  50-acre land and environmental sculpture park located in the wetlands of Lough Boora Parklands, Co. Offaly.

The Highlanes Gallery – a tour of the permanent collection & the exhibition Utopia Ltd., part of the Drogheda Arts Festival.

- The Art Books of Henri Matisse, a tour by Dr Jill Unkel at the Chester Beatty Library.

AGM & AGM Lecture, 21st Century Irish Craft by Dr Audrey Whitty, at the National Museum, Collins Barracks.

- The Moderns exhibition at IMMA – a tour.

- Liverpool: the art & architecture of the Grand Tour, a lecture by Dr Lynda Mulvin
